Every transaction goes through the same pipeline, whether it started as a bank text, a cash purchase, or a receipt photo.

Capture

On Android, Finza listens for messages from your bank the moment you grant permission — nothing else. On iPhone, where apps can't read SMS directly, a one-time Shortcuts setup does the same job automatically from then on. Paying cash, or the message slipped through? Add it in a tap, by voice, or by photographing the receipt.

Understand

A parser built for Sri Lankan bank formats pulls out the amount, merchant, and currency, and scores its own confidence: clear matches go straight into your ledger, uncertain ones ask you to confirm. A model trained on local merchants handles the category — restaurant, utility, transfer — without you lifting a finger.

Stay private

Your ledger lives in an encrypted database on your phone — that's the real record, not a cache. Turn on Premium sync and your data is end-to-end encrypted with a key only you hold, before it ever reaches our servers. We can back it up. We can't read it.

Act

Budgets track your salary cycle, not the calendar month. Bills and EMIs remind you before they're due. Spending in more than one currency? Finza converts everything to one number, and flags when a weaker rupee is quietly raising your USD subscription bill.

02 · Ask Finza

When you want an answer, not a chart.

Ask a plain-English question and Finza answers from your own parsed transactions — not a general model guessing. Anything identifying is stripped out before your question ever reaches the AI, and every reply comes from real numbers in your ledger, never invented ones.

04 · Android vs iPhone

Android

Fully automatic

Grant SMS permission once during onboarding. From then on, every qualifying bank message is captured and parsed with no further action from you.

iPhone

One-time setup, then automatic

iOS doesn't let any app read your messages directly. Finza walks you through installing a Shortcuts automation once; after that, capture runs just as automatically as on Android. You can also just forward a message from Messages to catch anything the automation misses.
